Low Grocery Prices for Sept. 12-18

Here are the sales I’ve sifted with my Price Book data for the Longview, Texas area as the items at the lowest end of their price range. I am mostly looking at meat, produce, and dairy, but I’ll post other things that I see, too!  I hope this helps you with your grocery budget!

In addition to these great seasonal deals, you may want to check out my Where to Buy Staples page for observations on the lowest local prices on my everyday grocery essentials.

Happy Farms or Fit & Active Shredded Cheese, 11-12oz for $1.99, or ~$0.13oz at Aldi. Cheese ranges in price anywhere from $0.11-$0.37/oz.

California Green Grapes for $0.69/lb at Aldi.  Grapes in general range in price from $0.69-$2.99/lb.  My records show they will likely be on sale for this low price for the next couple of weeks!  Woot!

Roma Tomatoes for $0.59/lb at Aldi.  Usually range from $0.49-$1.99/lb.

Nectarines, Peaches, and Plums for $0.89/lb at Aldi.  Nectarines and Peaches range from $0.87-$2.49/lb, while Plums range from $0.64-$1.99/lb.  This is the end of their season, so enjoy them while you still can!

Gala Apples for ~$0.66/lb at Aldi.  Gala apples range from $0.43-$1.99/lb.  They usually get to their lowest price in October, so you could wait a few more weeks still if you want to see a better price.

85/15 Grass Fed Organic Ground Beef for $4.49/lb at Aldi.  In general, this ranges from $4.49-$7.99/lb.  This price is good Wednesday only and is sold in a 4lb package.

93% Ground Turkey 19.2oz for $2.99, or $2.49/lb at Aldi.  Lean ground turkey ranges from $2.99-$3.99.  I have to admit, I don’t watch turkey very closely, but I think this is a pretty good deal.  Considering lean ground beef is much more, it’s nice to pay a price like this for something you can substitute when you want lean ground beef.

Progresso Soups for $1/ea at Albertson’s.  Progresso Soups range as low as $0.89-$1.67.  These are 5 for $5 but Friday only.  Look for coupons to stack on top of the sale to make it an even sweeter deal, but know that Albertson’s coupon policy is pretty strict. Considering I’m doing good to get a home-cooked meal down to $1 per serving, these are some good cost-sense back-ups to keep in the pantry for hubby’s lunches when there are no leftovers.  Plus, some varieties are THM-approved!

Mixed Nuts 36.4oz for $13.99, or $0.38/oz at Albertson’s.  Mixed nuts range in price from $0.34-$0.61 per oz.

Halo Top for $2.50/ea at Albertson’s.  Halo Top ranges in price from $2.99-$5.37/ea.  If you are a Halo Top fan, you know this is a great price!  Unfortunately there is a limit of 2 and this deal is good only on Friday.

Primo Taglio Deli Turkey for $5/lb at Albertson’s.  Deli lunchmeat in general ranges from $4.97-$7.99.  I often see deli ham on sale at Super 1, but turkey is not as common, so this is a good one.  Also, Albertson’s takes great pride in their meat offering so I always feel good about their protein deals.  This deal is also only good on Friday.

Boneless/ Skinless Chicken Breast for $1.49/lb at Albertson’s.  B/S chicken ranges in price from $1.47-$2.32/lb.  This price is with the digital or paper coupon found in the circular and there is a limit of 10 pounds.

Eggs for $0.77/doz at Albertson’s.  Eggs range in price all over the place, from $0.14-$2.99.  Aldi usually is the best place to get them, but they’ve been around $0.99/doz lately, so this is the better deal.  However, this price is with their digital coupon OR you can clip it out of the paper circular, and there is a limit of 2 dozen.

Russet Potatoes 10lbs for $1.99, or ~$0.20/lb at Albertson’s.  Russet potatoes range in price from $0.10-$0.60/lb.  That’s a huge range!  I expect they will get to their lowest low in November, but if you are craving some nice potato soup with this slightly fall-like weather, this is a great price!  There is a limit of 2 ten pound bags at this price.

Land O’Frost Lunchmeat 16oz for $2.99 at Kroger.  LoF lunchmeat ranges from $2.99-$4.99 in price.  I got excited when I saw this because I believe I have a couple of $1 off paper coupons to combine with this sale – check your stash, especially if you receive paper coupons from Kroger in the mail.

Bone-In Pork Chops for $0.97/lb at Super 1.  These range from $0.87-$2.99/lb.  My husband really loves bone-in pork chops so I watch out for when these get really low, which is typically in July.  But this is still a price you might want to know about!  In the ad, they say “Limit 3 packs” but they don’t say how many pounds each pack is.

Brookshire’s Deli Ham for $4.97/lb at Super 1.  Deli lunchmeats in general range from $4.97-$7.99/lb.  This sale happens almost every month.
